ELYRIA — Elyria police have launched a second program to help drug addicts and their families to resources that could help them.
Elyria police piloted its Quick Response Team program May through July and have since made it a permanent program. On Wednesday, the department kicked off the Voluntary Drug Intervention Program, which will be in full effect by mid-October.
Both programs aim to connect addicts and their families to resources, Lt. Deena Baker said.
