U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur, an Ohio Democrat, announced Sept. 20 $1.5 million in funding to fight the opioid crisis, according to a news release.
The Erie County Department of Health and Firelands Regional Health System each received a $250,000 Rural Health Opioid Program award from the Health Services and Resources Administration which intends to reduce morbidity and mortality related to opioid overdoses, the release said.
